Using TripMate
TripMate is a platform that connects travellers with independent local guides and travel agencies, and provides planning and budgeting tools. You must be able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to create an account.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you publish, and for keeping your password confidential.
Our role in bookings
Bookings and quotations are agreements between you and the guide or agency. TripMate is not a party to them, does not process payment, and does not act as a travel agent or tour operator.
Prices shown are those published by guides and agencies. Budget figures produced by our planner are estimates for guidance and are not quotations.
Verification
The verified badge means we have checked identity and registration documents. It is not a guarantee of service quality, safety, or availability, and it does not transfer liability to TripMate.
Reviews and content
Only a traveller with a completed booking may review the guide or agency for that booking, once per booking. Reviews are moderated and may be rejected or hidden if they are abusive, fabricated, off-topic, or contain personal data.
You keep ownership of content you post, and grant TripMate a licence to display it on the platform.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to gain access to accounts, data, or areas of the platform that are not yours; do not scrape the site; do not upload malicious files; do not use the platform to harass anyone.
Accounts that breach these terms may be suspended or closed, with reasons recorded in our audit log.
Liability
The platform is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, TripMate is not liable for losses arising from services provided by guides or agencies, from travel disruption, or from decisions made using estimated figures.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the platform. Continuing to use TripMate after a change means you accept the updated terms.
